KitchenTable Conversations – How it works

Why attend
Way too many people are polarized and not talking anymore. This division is affecting our ability to unite around the things that will make living in Wisconsin better for everyone.

What to expect
People getting to know each other a little better by having constructive conversations on the issues dividing our state.

How it works
> People gather at public establishments throughout Wisconsin to find common ground by considering life experiences and belief systems different from their own.
> Everyone is welcomed to the discussion around “our kitchen table” just as you would welcome new friends around your kitchen table.
> Nobody attends to convince anyone of anything.
> Everyone leaves the conversation with new perspectives to consider.
> Some decide to apply what they’ve learned to finding workable solutions to issues they feel passionately about.
> KitchenTable Conversations is streamed live on Facebook to demonstrate that progress is possible even when, at first, we disagree. Some conversations are filmed for promotional use.

When we meet
On every third Wednesday of the month between 7-8pm people from across Wisconsin come together to reject the political divisiveness pitting us against one another.

Who makes it happen
